This tourist map of Paris, or "New Paris Monumental Practical Itinerary for Foreigners in Paris," appeared in a small pocket guide of about fifteen pages published in 1900. It is one of the first maps to feature the Eiffel Tower. The combination of cartographic data with the relief drawing of the monuments, the fresh colours, and the perspective view in the background make it an exceptionally visual work.
There are over 400 protected monuments in Paris, not including those simply listed as historic monuments, nor contemporary buildings...
