Chestnut Honey - 250g

Description
This honey is carefully harvested by our bees from the majestic flowers of the chestnut tree, a symbol of the temperate regions in the heart of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Natural Park.

It is distinguished by its deep colour, ranging from amber to dark brown, which testifies to its richness of flavours and is reminiscent of the colour of chestnuts. Its intense and characteristic flavour has distinct notes of chestnut.

We often find woody notes, sometimes slightly bitter, which recall the characteristic aromas of the chestnut itself. Some even describe a hint of liquorice or caramel.

In the Ardèche, the blooming of the chestnut trees is a magical moment that usually takes place from June onwards. The chestnut forests are dazzlingly beautiful, as the trees are covered with clusters of white flowers. This event is not only a delight for the eyes but also crucial for bee and honey production.
