What is paprika?
Paprika, picked when fully ripe and then finely ground into powder. Bright red, it has warm, spicy flavors but with a much more moderate spiciness than common peppers.
What's special about our paprika?
It is slowly smoked with holm oak wood, which gives it a powerful aroma of wood fire, as delicious as it is comforting. This smoky side is particularly appreciated by vegetarians and vegans, who find flavors specific to animal products (bacon, salmon, cheeses, etc.)
Need recipe ideas?
- Chicken paprika: Heat oil in a frying pan and brown your chicken pieces. Add chopped onion, garlic and smoked paprika. Sauté for a few minutes. Then add crushed tomatoes and chicken broth and simmer on low heat until the chicken meat is perfectly tender.
- Red bean soup with paprika: Heat garlic and onion in a pan with a dash of olive oil. Add the pre-cooked red beans, paprika and preferably a vegetable broth. Simmer for 20 minutes, then blend until smooth. Enjoy!
- Vegetable gratin with paprika: Preheat your oven to 180°C. Arrange the pre-cut vegetables of your choice (carrots, zucchini, eggplants, potatoes, etc.) in a gratin dish. In a bowl, mix grated cheese, paprika and chopped parsley and spread this mixture over the vegetables. Bake for 30 minutes, until the vegetables are cooked through and the top begins to brown. Bon appétit!
Our holm oak smoked paprika is organically certified.
It is offered in a 55g glass bottle. Store it in a dry and cool place, away from light. It does not expire, but we recommend using it within 24 months to retain all the intensity of its aromas.
